About Inspiration Academy
The school serves 500 students. There will be two classes for every grade. Inspiration Academy will be a kindergarten through eighth-grade school.
The Inspiration Academy Project
We finished funding the construction of Inspiration Academy! Starfish International aims to create equitable, achievable, and accessible education. That is what a public school does. Inspiration Academy will end the cycle of poverty one student at a time.
Inspiration Academy
Starfish International has purchased the plots, and we raised funds for the construction. There will be five classrooms, holding thirty students. The building has five floors, an amphitheater, and a rooftop used as a playground. We will have two bathrooms on each floor. Each classroom will hold 30 students
Amphitheater
In Mathare, there is no space to be heard. The plots of land that Starfish International has purchased are slanted. We are going to use that to our advantage and construct an amphitheater based on the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado. This will be a place to teach community classes, witness the talent that those in Mathare have, and be a community space.
