Our New Project

We are building a 50-person school that provides an individualized global education. The mission of this school is to bring students up to grade level with one-on-one instruction from qualified educators. Our students will come from many walks of life, and our mission is to have the resources available to provide an equitable, accessible, and achievable education for every student.

Step 1: 3D Renderings From Architect

We are working with an architect in Kenya to design the school. To have the most thoughtful design possible, we are working with experts in Kenya and the United States to approve the design. This will be completed by mid-March. The salary of the architect is included in the construction of the school.

Step 2: Purchase Land

The cost of the land is $35,000. The land will be half an acre in Kyumvi, Kenya. This price includes fencing off the land and creating a driveway. Our goal is to purchase the land by April. We will have a photo of the land by early January.

Step 3: Starting Construction

The construction process will cost $100,000 and take eight months. Lots of pictures to come!

Step 4: Hire the Headmaster

Hiring the headmaster is the most crucial step. We will not take this decision lightly. A portion of our team will fly out to meet the candidates, and the headmaster will meet the remainder of the team over Zoom. This step will happen during construction so that the headmaster has as much time as possible to engage in our mission.

Step 5: Enroll Students

Students will come from all walks of life. We will be accepting some of our students from a non-profit that takes girls out of poverty-based prostitution. We will also be accepting the siblings of the girls in that program. Other students will be in different difficult situations. We believe that education is the first step in equity and independence. Our program will provide individualized education to each student, including all resources necessary to succeed.

Step 5: Fund School

This school will be built to accommodate 50 students and provide space for individualized education. We will start by accepting 30 students. Maintaining 30 students, including breakfast, lunch, supplies, and salaries, costs four thousand dollars monthly.
